Thandeka Mkhize is destined for greatness, or at least that’s what she believes. She feels on top of the world when she is accepted to study law at the University of Witwatersrand.

Johannesburg, known as the City of Gold, is where dreams can come true for a young Zulu girl like her.

However, all that glitters is not always gold. Upon arriving in Johannesburg, her cousin introduces her to the party lifestyle, and her naivety comes at a price.

Her peaceful life is soon replaced by police, parties, money, champagne, and the occasional death or two.
